The history of our church and how we became what we are today.

Stained glass window; Size=130 pixels wide

Several years ago, a group of people had a deep desire to live their lives according to God's Word.  In June of 1997, this faithful group of followers took that step, putting their trust in God to provide them with the necessary tools to start a new church.

He provided indeed!  The first provision was two scripture passages, Isaiah 43:18-19 and Luke 9:61, instructing those dedicated followers to "not look back" nor "dwell on the past," so as to recognize a "new thing," and become "fit for service in the Kingdom of God."  The second provision was the gift of talents and leadership that He gave so freely, and continues to give, so that Countryside can grow in the service of the Lord.

Three foundational truths that were the building blocks of Countryside Christian Church, and continue to strengthen the church today are:

                      *  Recognizing and embracing the "power of prayer"

                      *  A "heart for missions"

                      *  Spreading the gospel message by fulfilling the "Great Commission"

From our humble beginnings until today, Countryside Christian Church is honored to be given the privilege of dedicating ourselves to serving our Lord.

                                               "For God so loved the world that
                                             he gave his one and only Son, that
                                             whoever believes in him shall not perish
                                             but have eternal life.  For God did not
                                             send his Son into the world to condemn
                                             the world, but to save the world
                                             through him."
                                                                                John 3:16-17

We invite you to become a part of the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.
